Opportunity to Receive Part IV MOC Credit for
Quality Improvement and/or Patient Safety Work Related to COVID-19

The Michigan Medicine Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program for Quality Improvement (QI) helps affiliated physicians and physician assistants understand and meet Improvement in Medical Practice (Part IV) requirements of their specialty boards and maintain certification in their specialties.

The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) has offered a streamlined process for the MOC Program to approve COVID-related projects.  This is a time-efficient opportunity for Michigan Medicine physicians or PAs to meet their MOC requirements in recognition of their commitment to improving practice under pandemic conditions.
