Blood tests and clinic appointments
It is important to have your blood drawn and tested when your transplant team asks you to, and to have regular check-ups. These tests are very important because they are the best way to see if something is wrong, even before you have any symptoms. They also help your doctor adjust your medicines to get the right dosages. Once medicine levels in your blood have stabilized, it may be possible to lower your dosages, and this may help to reduce some side effects.
