A Post-doctoral Fellow Position is Available Now !!!!!!

Responsibilities:
A postdoctoral position is available immediately for outstanding individuals to participate in research studying biological function of cancer stem cells in brain tumors (glioma and medulloblastoma) and the signal pathways that regulates such cells. Projects will be involved in developing new therapies for malignant brain tumors and studying the mechanism by which signaling pathways or genes regulate brain cancer stem cells using both human primary tumor xenograft and transgenic mouse brain tumor models. This research will be a collaborative effort among the Department of Neurosurgery, Cell and Developmental Biology, and the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Michigan, and provides an excellent opportunity for training and career development. This appointment is for 2-5 years with initially being for 2 years. At that time there will be an evaluation for a potential extension for additional years based on performance and funding.

Required Qualifications:
Ph.D and/or M.D. Degree with 3-5 years of lab experience. Interested applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree from a U.S. institution and within three years of their last degree.

Desired Qualifications:
Strong experience in molecular biology, mouse models, cell culture, and microarray analysis is preferred. Interested applicant with USA citizenship or green card is preferred.
