Sarcopenia T-score Calculator Using Healthy Kidney Donor Scans

Calculate sex-specific muscle area t-scores for sarcopenia evaluation using healthy, young adult normative reference data. Skeletal Muscle Area (SMA) and Psoas Muscle Area (PMA) should be measured in cm^2 and height-adjusted Skeletal Muscle Index (SMI) and Psoas Muscle Index (PMI) should be measured in cm^2/m^2. Sex-specific statistics (mean, standard devation (SD), and sarcopenia cutoff) at specific vertebra levels are derived from non-contast CT scans of healthy kidney donors. T-score is computed as (value - mean)/SD separately for males and females.

This calculator is not designed to be used as a diagnostic instrument, but instead to provide additional information about the patient being measured.
