The HVAC Shop provides heating, ventilation and air conditioning related services for all Hospital heating and cooling systems. This shop responds to all "too hot/too cold" calls throughout the facility and for off-site facilities.
The Mechanical Systems Shop provides maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment. This group provides this service for all Hospitals and several off site buildings as well. This equipment includes pumps, exhaust fans, air handling units, vent hoods, and cooling towers.
The Plumbing Shop provides services related to the maintenance and repair of plumbing systems, medical gas systems, and related piping with the hospital. Responsible for waste water systems and domestic hot and cold water systems.
The Electrical Shop provides services to electrical maintenance and repair of the Hospitals electrical systems that include high voltage distribution systems, emergency generator systems, building electrical distributed systems, and various electrical equipment and components and power quality services.
The Industrial Electrical Shop provide services related to electrical maintenance and repair of the Hospitals electrical systems that include fire alarm systems, security systems including card access, security cameras and other security systems, pneumatic tube systems, and various electrical equipment and components and power quality services.
Also responsible for automated doors, card reader doors and magnetically held open doors.
The Afternoon Shop, formerly called ENWAH I, provide evening/after-hours (3p-11p), weekend, and holiday (evening, night, weekends, and holidays) maintenance coverage for all hospital and off-site clinic facilities.
The Midnight Shop, formerly called ENWAH II, provides evening/after-hours (11p-7a), weekend, and holiday (evening, night, weekends, and holidays) maintenance coverage for all hospital and off-site clinic facilities.
The Sterilizer Shop provides services related to healthcare and laboratory sterilizer, and washers throughout the complex and off-site buildings. Other responsibilities include blanket warmers and other equipment related to the sterilization process.
Area I is responsible for routine maintenance and specially requested maintenance jobs, projects, and painting services primarily for the University Hospital, Taubman, Towsley, and Cancer Center.
Area II provides maintenance and repair services for the Cardiovascular Center, UH South, Medical Professional Building, Med Inn, C.S. Mott Children's and Von Voigtlander Women's Hospital, and the Women’s and Simpson Trailers.
Area V maintenance and repair services for North Ingalls Building, Brehm Eye Center, East Ann Arbor Health Center, Rachel Upjohn Building, and all off-site clinic facilities.
