Sally Liaw Sally Liaw, Sr. Director for Executive Communications

Sally began supporting the EVPMA office in 2015, managing all communication needs for the Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs.

Prior to joining the EVPMA office and the Department of Communication, Sally led the Marketing and Communication department for a health system in Florida. Her past experience includes 25 years of consumer marketing, brand management, and B2B program management.

Sally received her MBA from the University of Arizona and her Masters of International Management from Thunderbird.

David Madrigal David Madrigal, M.S., Staff Specialist

David began his career here at the University of Michigan in 2008. Ten years later he joined the EVPMA office as a Staff Specialist. In this role he focuses on coordinating the strategic activities for the Michigan Medicine Office of the EVPMA/Dean.

Prior to joining the EVPMA office, David served as a Project Manager in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology & Diabetes. There he managed the American-Australian-Asian Adrenal Alliance (A5) as well as the Michigan Endocrine Oncology Repository (MEOR) where he was the point of contact for their research related activities.

David received his B.A. from Adrian College in 2007 where he was a student-athlete in both football and track & field. He later received his M.S. from Eastern Michigan University in 2009 where he was a Graduate Assistant in the School of Health Promotion & Human Performance.

Pattie Postel Pattie Postel, Assistant to the Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs 

Pattie serves as the Assistant to the Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs and Dean of the University of Michigan Medical School. With over 16 years of cumulative U-M service, Pattie joined the Office of the EVPMA in the spring of 2014, as the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff and Chief Administrative Officer.  Prior to joining the Office of the EVPMA, she served as a Grants Coordinator for the UMHS Regional Alliance for Healthy Schools adolescent health centers, and other key administrative positions in the Ross School of Business and the Office of the Vice President for Research, Imagining America program. Pattie received her M.S. from Indiana University, Bloomington and a post baccalaureate teaching certificate from Eastern Michigan University.

Brianna Solberg Brianna Solberg, Executive Assistant to the Chief Administrative Officer

Brianna joined the Office of the EVPMA in 2018, serving as the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff, EVPMA and Chief Administrative Officer, UMHS. Prior to joining Michigan Medicine, she served as a Business Development Manager in the automotive industry with lead roles in marketing, communications and administrative management. Her past experience also includes over 10 years working in retail business environments and facilitating client - business relationships. Brianna received her Bachelor of Science in Apparel, Textiles and Merchandising from the College of Technology at Eastern Michigan University in 2013.

Quinta Vreede Quinta Vreede, M.H.S.A.
Chief Administrative Officer, University of Michigan Health System,
Chief of Staff, Office of the Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs

Quinta became the first Chief Administrative Officer of the University of Michigan Health System in May 2010. Ms. Vreede oversees key Health System functions including regulatory compliance, government relations, facility planning, public relations and marketing. In addition to her CAO role she also serves as chief of staff to the Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs.

Quinta has more than 20 years of experience working in health care, many of them at UMHS. Prior to becoming the CAO she had been the lead administrator for the Department of Family Medicine in the U-M Medical School, while also having lead responsibility for five of the Health System's outpatient centers in her role as an ambulatory care administrator. She was the first health care administrator to hold both roles simultaneously.

Quinta has a M.H.S.A. from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
