The award-winning Ann Arbor Public Schools system consists of 21 elementary schools, six middle schools and five high schools. A third high school is under construction. The Grammy Foundation named Pioneer High School’s music program the 2005-2006 Best Music Program in the United States.
The district also offers an open elementary school, Mack Elementary School; a charter elementary school, Honey Creek; and a year-round program of events, classes and developmental guidance through First Steps Washtenaw County.
