The University of Michigan provides the following classes, seminars and procedures.
Outpatient Lactation Consultants
The University of Michigan Health System’s Lactation Consultants encourage and support women in their attempts to breastfeed by offering one-on-one consultations. The consultant will spend a minimum of one hour with Mom and baby. The fee for a personal lactation consultation is $75. Appointments are necessary; call 734-936-8886.

“Happiest Baby on the Block Classes"
Harvey Karp, M.D., is well known for his methods for soothing babies. In Karp’s book, The Happiest Baby on the Block, he explains the “Missing 4th Trimester,” the “Calming Reflex,” the “5 S’s”, and “the Cuddle Cure.” UMHS staff teach hands-on classes.
