  Colorful hands

If you call or visit the U−M Women‘s Health Resource Center, one of the friendly people who greets you might be a volunteer. Since last September, Amanda Kupstas has had a weekly volunteer shift to help people navigate the variety of health resources available. Amanda appreciates what she has learned from her volunteer experience while helping other people get information. She says, "I learn something new every time I volunteer." Amanda enjoys empowering people with information. Women seek information for their parents, children, and spouses, so the topics aren‘t just limited to women’s health. Amanda and the other volunteers provide important support to connect people with information and resources.

To find out about volunteering in the Women‘s Health Resource Center, call (734) 936-8886 or visit the University of Michigan Health System Volunteer Services Web site. Volunteers can choose from morning or afternoon shifts during the resource center‘s Monday through Friday programming.
