This conference, planned by the Knight-Wallace Fellows, in conjunction with physicians specializing in women's health at the University of Michigan Health System, will include a panel of top journalists who will compare notes with leading experts to evaluate the quality of information reaching the public. Panelists and experts will include Gina Kolata, science journalist for The New York Times; Myrna Blyth, author of Spin Sisters: How the Women of the Media Sell Unhappiness and Liberalism to the Women of America; and Vivian Pinn, M.D., Director of the Office of Research on Women's Health for the National Institutes of Health.
