The Women's Health Program Salutes...Dr. Hope Haefner

Dr.
Haefner has dedicated her career to advancing women's health, not only
through her clinical practice but through research in gynecologic pathology.
As an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,
she shares her knowledge of women's health with the doctors of tomorrow.
One among a short list of physicians who have expertise in vulvovaginal
diseases, Dr. Haefner is instrumental in the existence and success of
the UMHS Center for Vulvar Diseases. When asked why she finds working
in women's health rewarding, she said the following: "Working in
women's health is a fascinating career...the knowledge changes at a
rapid pace."
