Angela Johnson ( angejohn@umich.edu)
Program Coordinator, Community Outreach
Angela is interested in engaging women and populations of color as active agents of change in their own lives and in their communities.
Angela Johnson holds a master of arts degree in sociology and urban affairs from Michigan State University and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Amherst College. She received a year of intensive Spanish language training at the Universidad de Alicante in Alicante, Spain.
Before coming to U-M, Angela served the Michigan Department of Social Services, the Department of Labor and Economic Growth, and the Michigan State University Center for Urban Affairs Community and Economic Development Program. She also co-founded and led the Michigan Resident Leadership Network, the State of Michigan’s first leadership training organization for public housing resident leaders.

Coordinator, Women’s Health Resource Center
Debbi Smith is the coordinator of the Women’s Health Resource Center at the University of Michigan Health System. The Women’s Health Resource Center provides access to credible health information and connects women to other resources within UMHS and community agencies.
Debbi has many years of experience advocating for and supporting patients and families at UMHS. She has supported many initiatives to provide family-centered care, including serving on the team that laid the groundwork for the Family Resource Center at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
Before joining the Women’s Health Program in 2002, Debbi worked in both Child Life and Community Relations for Mott Hospital. She received an undergraduate degree in social work from Eastern Michigan University.
