The Ambassador Program complements and enhances the ideal patient care experience by providing guest services support to patients, their families and visitors to the UMHS complex. Ambassadors greet visitors and assist them to designated areas within the hospital complex. Upon discharge, Ambassadors are available to assist families with exiting the hospital.Discharge from the hospital is often a stressful time; patients are nervous and frequently need assistance leaving the hospital. We want to provide a good “last impression” and ensure our patients do not feel “abandoned” when they are discharged.
