Community Members (non-students) can apply to volunteer at UMHS at any time. Monthly Orientations are scheduled to accommodate our community members’ schedules.

NEW Community Volunteers — Follow these steps:

Step 1. Register to attend an Information Session. You must attend an Information Session to be eligible to volunteer! Information Sessions are held three (3) times a year - April, September, and December.

INFORMATION SESSIONS

Registration for April Information Sessions will open on April 1, 2016.

Saturday, April 23 11:00 - 12:00 p.m.
Fall 2016 (September - December) Information Session Dates - Check website in August.

Step 2 - Schedule and attend an Interview. Bring ALL items listed on the Volunteer Interview Checklist to your interview. Your interview will last approximately 2 hours.

Step 3 - Sign up to attend General Orientation.

GENERAL ORIENTATION

(Attendance at one is mandatory for new volunteers)

Spring/Summer 2016 Session (May - August) Dates:
Wednesday, May 4 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 12 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, May 18 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, June 1 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, June 14 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
