Steps for Volunteering at UMHS
Community Members (non-students) can apply to volunteer at UMHS at any time.  Monthly Orientations are scheduled to accommodate our community members’ schedules.

NEW Community Volunteers – Follow these steps:

Step 1 - Please click this link to sign up to attend an Information Session. You must attend an Information Session to be eligible to volunteer. Information Sessions are held three (3) times a year - April, September, and December.

Thursday, April 17

10:00 - 11:00am

Saturday, April 26

1:30 - 2:30pm

Step 2 - Schedule and attend an Interview. Instructions for scheduling an interview will be provided at the Information Session. Bring ALL items listed on the Volunteer Interview Checklist to your interview. You will forfeit your appointment if your materials are incomplete. Your interview will last approximately 2 hours.*

Step 3 - Sign up to attend General Orientation. Instructions for scheduling an Orientation will be provided at the Information Session. You may attend Orientation before or after your Interview date, but please choose the earliest possible date so you can get started volunteering!
