Community Members (non-students) can apply to volunteer at UMHS at any time. Monthly Orientations are scheduled to accommodate our community members’ schedules.

NEW Community Volunteers — Follow these steps:

Step 1. Sign-up to attend an Information Session. You must attend an Information Session to be eligible to volunteer! Information Sessions are held three (3) times a year - April, September, and December. The Information Sessions in December 2015 are now filled.


NOTE: All December Information Sessions are currently FILLED!

Winter 2016 (January - April Information Session Dates (select one):

Registration for April Information Sessions will open on April 1, 2016.

Wednesday, April 13 1:00 - 2:00pm
Thursday, April 14 5:00 - 6:00pm
Saturday, April 23 1:00 - 2:00pm
Fall 2016 (September - December) Information Session Dates - Check website in August.

Step 2 - Schedule and attend an Interview. Bring ALL items listed on the Volunteer Interview Checklist to your interview. Your interview will last approximately 2 hours.

Step 3 - Sign up to attend General Orientation.


(Attendance at one is mandatory for new volunteers)
