Community Members (non-students) can apply to volunteer at UMHS at any time. Monthly Orientations are scheduled to accommodate our community members’ schedules.

NEW Community Volunteers — Follow these steps:

Step 1. Sign-up to attend an Information Session. You must attend an Information Session to be eligible to volunteer! Information Sessions are held three (3) times a year - April, September, and December.


NOTE: All September Information Sessions are currently FILLED!
Winter 2016 (January - April Information Session Dates (select one):
Tuesday, December 1 12:00 - 1:00pm
Wednesday, December 2 6:30 - 7:30pm
Thursday, December 3 5:30 - 6:30pm
Spring/Summer 2016 (May - August) Information Session Dates - Check website in March.

Step 2 - Schedule and attend an Interview. Bring ALL items listed on the Volunteer Interview Checklist to your interview. Your interview will last approximately 2 hours.

Step 3 - Sign up to attend General Orientation.


(Attendance at one is mandatory for new volunteers)

Thursday, September 24 5:30 - 7:30pm
