Volunteering at Michigan Medicine
Community Members (non-students) can apply to volunteer at Michigan Medicine at any time. Monthly Orientations are scheduled to accommodate our community members’ schedules.

NEW Community Volunteers —
Follow these steps:
Step 1. Register to attend an Information Session. You must attend an Information Session to be eligible to volunteer! The link to register for a seat at an Information Session opens 2-3 weeks before the Information Session dates.
Information Sessions are held three (3) times a year:
- April (for the Spring/Summer session, May - August)
- September (for the Fall session, September - December)
- December (for the Winter session, January - April)

After registering for an Information Session, you will receive an email confirmation with instructions and directions.
Step 2 - Schedule and complete an Interview Appointment. Bring ALL items listed on the Volunteer Interview Checklist to your interview. Your interview will last approximately 2 hours.
Step 3 - Sign up to attend General Orientation once your Interview Appointment is scheduled. You will receive an email confirmation with instructions and directions.
Step 4 - Begin volunteering!
