Community Members (non-students) can apply to volunteer at UMHS at any time. Monthly Orientations are scheduled to accommodate our community members’ schedules.

NEW Community Volunteers — Follow these steps:

Step 1 - Attend an Information Session or call Volunteer Services at 734-936-4327 for information about currently available volunteer opportunities. (Information Sessions are held 3 times a year - April, September, and December.)

INFORMATION SESSIONS

Spring/Summer 2015 Information Session (May - August)
Tuesday, April 14 10:00 - 11:00 am
Thursday, April 16 5:00 - 6:00 pm
Saturday, April 25 1:30 - 2:30 pm
Fall 2015 Information Session (September - December) - Check website in mid-August.

Step 2 - Schedule and attend an Interview. Bring ALL items listed on the Volunteer Interview Checklist to your interview. Your interview will last approximately 2 hours.

Step 3 - Sign up to attend General Orientation.

(Attendance at one is mandatory for new volunteers)

Winter 2015 Session (January - April)
Wednesday, May 6 4:00 - 6:00 pm
Wednesday, May 13 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Thursday, May 21 4:00 - 6:00 pm
Tuesday, June 2 4:00 - 6:00 pm
