Steps for Volunteering at UMHS
Community Members (non-students) can apply to volunteer at UMHS at any time. Monthly Orientations are scheduled to accommodate our community members’ schedules.

NEW Community Volunteers — Follow these steps:
Step 1. Register to attend an Information Session. You must attend an Information Session to be eligible to volunteer! Information Sessions are held three (3) times a year - April (for the Spring/Summer session, May - August), September (for the Fall session, September - December), and December (for the Winter session, January - April).
The next Information Session is for volunteering during the Winter 2017 session. Registration for this Information Session will open on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 12pm. To register for an Information Session, click here. The Information Session is scheduled for:

Step 2 - Schedule and attend an Interview. Bring ALL items listed on the Volunteer Interview Checklist to your interview. Your interview will last approximately 2 hours.
Step 3 - Sign up to attend General Orientation.
(Attendance at one is mandatory for new volunteers)
