Additional Volunteer Opportunities
The Ambassador Program complements and enhances the ideal patient care experience by providing guest services support to patients, their families and visitors to the U-M medical complex. Ambassadors greet visitors and assist them to designated areas within the hospital complex. Upon discharge, Ambassadors are available to assist families with exiting the hospital.
Our non-profit Gift Shops are looking for volunteers to cashier and/or assist with merchandise in the stock room. NO retail experience required. We offer training, flexible hours, monthly scheduling and Free Parking.
In collaboration with the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, volunteers facilitate hands-on science activities at the Mott Family Center. Activities developed by the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum staff include the Teddy Bear Clinic,
“Marble Maze,” “What’s Inside You,” “Hand Washing Surprises,” the “Four Senses Puzzle Box,” and more.
Volunteers not only deliver meals but also serves as a safety or wellness check. Volunteers report back any concerns they have to Meals on Wheels staff. Staff follow up with any concerns and may include calling an emergency contact. For many of our participants, a volunteer is the only person they see all day.
If you are interested in volunteering elsewhere in the community, we have included a short list of numerous other local organizations.
