Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the University of Michigan Health System. Our latest recruitment and placement of volunteers begins next month! If you are interested in volunteering with us Spring/Summer 2009, we will begin accepting calls to schedule interview appointments the week of Monday, May 4 at 9:00 am and will continue to accept calls until all of the available appointment slots are filled. Interviews will begin on Monday, May 11, 2009. We ask volunteers for a six month commitment, usually donating 2-4 hours per week. The minimum age to volunteer is 16 years. We also have a six-week Summer Teen Volunteer Program.
Please take a moment to download the Volunteer Checklist and UMHS Volunteer Application. Please note, that you must have completed all of the items on the checklist that pertain to you. The reference forms may be hand-carried to the interview appointment. Failure to have all of the requested materials may require you to forfeit your interview appointment. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to reschedule. If you have difficulty downloading the documents, please call 734-936-4327, x-3 or e-mail UMHS.volunteer@umich.edu to request an application. If you have an interest in more than one placement opportunity, please complete only one volunteer application.
