I am no longer practicing clinical medicine. My primary interest is in surgical collaboratives and I am a Co-PI of the Michigan Urologic Surgery Improvement Collaborative (MUSIC) sponsored by BCBS of Michigan and directed by David Miller. I have also been active the Urologic Surgery Quality Collaborative composed of 7 practices in the Midwest. Although I have not had specific training in Health Services Research, my experience as a Urologic Oncologist for 35 years and as previous Chair of the Department of urology provides a long term perspective that is occasionally valuable.
