Rohit Mehra, MB, BS
Dr. Mehra has participated in the research program of Arul M. Chinnaiyan, M.D., Ph.D. since 2003 where he has contributed to studies identifying recurrent gene fusions of TMPRSS2 to ETS family transcription factors in prostate cancer, characterizing new biomarkers in prostate cancer, and profiling prostate cancer progression. Dr. Mehra did his Pathology residency at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor and received further Genitourinary Pathology training under the mentorship of Victor E. Reuter, M.D. at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. Dr. Mehra continues to participate in the tissue biomarker efforts for the MCTP (Michigan Center for Translational Pathology), the pathology initiative on the SPORE rapid autopsy program and discovery of new gene fusions/aberrations in epithelial cancers especially genitourinary tumors.
