MIC successfully achieves its mission through:
- Education: Training a new generation of medical innovators with cross-disciplinary technical and business skills who will be leaders in health innovation.
- Innovation: Catalyzing the development of innovative biomedical devices, technologies and processes.
- Collaboration: Creating multidisciplinary teams from the Schools of Medicine, Business, Dentistry, Art and Design, and the College of Engineering that will participate in cutting-edge health innovation; fostering dynamic relationships with industry that will accelerate technology commercialization; and providing access to mentors to train and inspire new innovators.
- Entrepreneurship: Creating the culture and systems that can bring wide clinical access to health technology through business creation.
