Jeffrey Groom
Research Specialist at MNIMBS, Design Engineer at MIC
Jeffrey Groom has a B.S.E and M.S.E in Biomedical Engineering from UofM, and is also an alumnus of the MIC fellowship. Currently Jeff works at the MNIMBS research lab under Dr. James Baker Jr. where he focuses on high-throughput screening characterization of novel nanoemulsion vaccines. In addition to this, he lends his talents to the MICÕs C2C program as a design engineer where he helps physicians take their device ideas to prototypes. Jeff also acted as the lead design engineer for a company contracted project through the MIC that redesigned a device for obese patients undergoing endovascular procedures. The redesigned device was well received by the client who is currently looking for manufactures for full scale production.
