Joseph Dertouzos

Team co-leader and WVF student managing director

Joe is an evening MBA student at the Ross School of Business focusing on entrepreneurship and strategy. He is a scientist and manager at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, specializing in the design of optical systems for holography, 3D imaging, and remote sensing. Previously, he designed diffractive optics and microscope systems as a student at the University of Michigan. He also worked as an engineer at Sensicore, a successful start-up for MEMS water quality sensors, and as a consultant for an intellectual property law firm. Joe holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, with concentrations in Optics and Signal Processing.
