Integrative Medicine Fellowship
Pre-requisite: Successful completion of Family Medicine residency training.
The purpose of the U-M Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the University of Michigan is to produce leaders in the field of integrative medicine who excel in clinical practice. It is designed as a stand-alone, 12-month fellowship for family medicine physicians interested in pursuing post-residency training in the clinical practice of integrative medicine.
The U-M Integrative Medicine Fellowship provides core clinical training for family physicians working to successfully care for diverse populations of patients. The fellowship trains physicians to skillfully integrate the best of conventional and alternative medicine, and to assume leadership roles in the emerging field of integrative medicine.
The U-M Integrative Fellowship Program is supported by the U-M Department of Family Medicine and was developed with a generous grant from the Fannie E. Rippel Foundation. The specific mission of the foundation is to strategically seed innovation, catalyze change, and create model processes that lead to improvements in health and health care delivery.
Applications are accepted starting each fall for the following August on a rolling basis. Interview usually are held in late fall or early winter but may extend longer depending on the number of applicants. The fellowship year runs August through July.
