Endoscopy SimulatorThe Endoscopy simulator is a handson training machine that lets users paractice most bronchoscopy, upper and lower GI skills. Interaction with the system requires usage of the simulator scopes that are available with the machine. Navigating the instruments, including up-down and left-right motion is very closely replicated as is in a real life scenario.

The endoscopy simulator has three modules, each corresponding to Bronchoscopy, Upper and Lower GI skills. Virtual bronchoscopy skills include the following modules,

  • Introduction to Bronchoscopy
  • Bronchoalveolar Lavage (BAL)
  • Endobronchial Sampling
  • Transbronchial Needle Aspiration (TBNA)
  • Pediatric Difficult Airways

Lower GI skills include the following modules,

  • Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
    • Introductory Cases
    • Supplemental Cases
  • Colonoscopy
    • Introductory Cases
    • Biopsy
    • Basic Polypectomy

Upper GI skills include the following modules,

  • Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
    • Introductory cases in ERCP

Training modules can be custom built as a combination of cases. Tracking of individual user usage statistics and performance is possible. Click here for basic tutorial.
