We are excited to introduce a new member of the CSC team! In September, Deborah Rooney, PhD., became the Director of Education and Research for the Clinical Simulation Center. Dr. Rooney has over 20 years’ experience in medical education, with the last eight years focusing on simulation-based education. Her interests include surgical education, clinical performance assessment, and development and validation of novel simulators. Dr. Rooney is excited to meet all of the users of the CSC, and looks forward to supporting Clinical Simulation Center’s educational and research initiatives. If you’d like to join us in welcoming her, or would like to simply discuss education and/research ideas, please don’t hesitate to contact her via email.

The CSC is proud to announce the opening of our new Robotic Surgery Training Room which houses our DaVinci robotic surgery simulator and full DaVinci robot. The room is located on the 1st floor of the Towsley Bld. in room 1302. For access information please contact the CSC Director of Operations caseyone@med.umich.edu
