Things happen for a reason. Those reasons are not always made clear to us. Lisa's death meant four others could continue to live. I can take some comfort that organ donation gave some meaning to her death.

But the suddenness of Lisa's accident did not give me the chance to say goodbye or to tell her once again that I loved her. There is value in extending any life, even if it might only be for a short period.
