FOR CHEMOTHERAPY PATIENTS PROJECT

 

 

What Goes In the Stockings?

Please note: we do most of our shopping in bulk - so we can get the bigger discount.

First, we fill a custom-designed mug with goodies such as: candy canes, jelly beans or mints, gum, herbal teas, and hot chocolate.

Then we add things to pass the time such as: a puzzle magazine, pen and/or pencil, highlighter, playing cards, and something fun - like a stress ball or Doodle-sketch.

Practical comfort items such as hand sanitizer, unscented lotion, lip balm and tissues are also included. We also like to include a pocket calendar for keeping track of appointments.

We top off the stockings with a nice sturdy long-handled back scratcher - a proven favorite among our patients...

If you would like to donate items: One item we always are in need of are diaries or journals. If you would prefer to buy something to donate, we are ALWAYS looking for journals. Please make sure journals are no larger than 5" x 8".

For the 2011 season, we are also looking for donations of soft bristle toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental floss.
