There are many shared home opportunities throughout Washtenaw County with the majority clustered in and around Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. As we make referrals to Home Seekers and Home Providers based upon compatibility, the homes listed below are meant to be examples of the different options available. This list is not all inclusive and at any given time there are up to 50 homes available for matching.
Most housing options tend to require non-smokers, with no pets. Generally, homes are furnished and allow access to kitchen and laundry facilities. Storage space is generally limited and overnight guests may not be welcome.

West Ann Arbor - Scio Church Rd. near Main St. Bus Route 15:

Lovely single-story home with lots of light, hardwood floors, no pets, two car attached garage. Private bedroom, access to home and garage. Some assistance requested with trash removal and snow removal. Rent: $350. Female, non-smoker, no pets.
Stadium/Pauline:
Share condo with older woman and her dog. Private furnished bedroom and private bath. Services would include overnight assurance and some sharing of meals. Card players welcomed. Other errands as requested. Rent negotiable and compatibility to be evaluated by a trial visit.
West Liberty/Zeeb Rd:
Family of older woman with memory loss seeking overnight support/assurance. Private bedroom, private bath; She has two cats, very involved family and daytime supports – so responsibilities would be minimal, but home-sharer would need to have a style that would be compatible and sensitive to someone with memory loss issues. Rent – negotiable, and minimal for the right woman.
North West Ann Arbor – very near M-14 access:
Share home with very active woman, seeking some companionship. Furnished bedroom, shared bath, some assistance with chores possible. Rent – less than $300. Females only.
Old West Side - Fifth/Jefferson:
Great location for students/walking distance to downtown Ann Arbor. semi-furnished room, shared bath in home of working woman. Small shared kitchen, street parking. $300 plus ½ utilities (approximately $100 per month). Male or female. Non-smoker, no pets.
Madison/Sixth:

Very nice private second floor bedroom and bathroom in new condo- share with active working woman. Rent: $350 plus utilities. Non-smoker; male or female; no pets.
Salem Township - North Territorial/Curtis Rd:
Share country home with recently widowed woman and her dog. Private bedroom and bath; furnished. Owner seeking overnight assurance, companionship and occasional assistance with household chores.
Rent: $300. Females only.
Ypsilanti - West Willow area:
Share home with older working woman, rent of $300 for furnished bedroom and shared bath. Females only, prefer someone older, no pets but smokers may be considered.
