The Scleroderma Program offers clinics focused on individuals with suspected or diagnosed scleroderma and related diseases.
Our emphasis is on cost-effective care on an ambulatory basis with a particular focus on patient education.
Referrals from physicians are strongly preferred. All requests for initial consultations require our review of past medical records and information about the reason for consultation.
Information for your health care provider regarding our patient referral process can be found in For Health Care Professionals.
Appointments are offered on a medical priority wherein patients with more active problems are seen first.
Scleroderma is an inherently complex disease and consultative input from other medical disciplines is frequently necessary. The University of Michigan Health System has extensive expertise in virtually every related area. Additional consultations and referrals can be made within our system to pulmonary, cardiology, gastroenterology and dermatology specialists as well as to physical and occupational therapists.
Whenever possible, we strive to keep your local physician heavily involved in your care and fully up-to-date with your experience at the University of Michigan Health System.
