UMHS Clinic Information
The U-M Department of Radiation Oncology delivers radiation treatment to more than 1,600 inpatients and outpatients each year and provides professional consultation services annually to more than 3,000 cancer patients and their referring physicians. Located within Ann Arbor's University Hospital, the radiotherapy facilities use sophisticated equipment to offer high-caliber patient care and provide patients with access to the most current clinical protocols. The facility features:
- A CT simulator and 4 Varian linear accelerators (LINACs)
- Use of innovative, cutting-edge technologies such as on-board imaging, daily patient positioning and active breathing control
- A collaborative environment highlighted by participation in numerous cancer-specific multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinics here at U-M
- A qualified and compassionate staff of board-certified radiation oncologists, resident physicians, nurses, radiation therapists, physician assistants, dosimetrists and social workers all supported by an adept administrative and clerical staff
