Considerations of ordering:
- For needle biopsies - check labs (PT, PTT & platelets) 24 hours before procedure
- Consult the radiologist if the patient is taking oral glucophage.
- Take meds as directed.
NPO 6 hours before test for solid food and milk products.
May have clear liquid until 2 hours before test.
