Bone Densitometry/ODR

You have been scheduled for a Bone Densitometry/ODR/DEXA study which involves the use of a small amount of x-rays and has no side effects. Please notify us if you have had back surgery or a hip replacement using metal clips.
Patient Preparation
Please wear comfortable clothing with no metal or zippers to the exam. You may be asked to change clothes prior to the exam if necessary.
Procedure
In the exam room you will be scanned for approximately 30 minutes. We will be measuring the mineral content of your bones. Painless images will be obtained for approximately 30 minutes.
