Morton Neuroma

Left Image: Longitudinal sonogram of the plantar aspect of the 2nd web space demonstrates a hypoechoic mass (yellow arrows) consistent with a Morton neuroma.  Note the linear, slightly fibrillar structure (red arrows) representing the interdigital nerve.

Right Image: Corresponding longitudinal transducer position technique.

Left Image: Transverse sonogram of the plantar aspect of the 2nd web space again shows the relatively hypoechoic lesion (calipers) between the 2nd metatarsal and the 3rd metatarsal.

Right Image: Corresponding transverse transducer position technique.

Left Image: Coronal T1-weighted MRI image shows a hypointense lesion (red arrows) located at the plantar aspect of the 2nd web space.

Right Image: Coronal FSE PD fat saturation MRI image shows heterogeneous increased signal in the same lesion (red arrows).

Right Image: Post-contrast demonstrates heterogeneous enhancement of the Morton neuroma (red arrows).
