The University of Michigan Emergency Radiology Division is a specialized group of clinical imagers providing evening and night-time interpretations primarily for the U-M Emergency Department and the U-M Trauma Burn Service. Our radiologists collaborate with a broad spectrum of primary care and subspecialists, and see a wide range of both pediatric and adult pathology.
Our equipment includes a state-of-the-art 64-slice CT scanner with 3-D workstations, both 1.5 and 3T MRI scanners and fully digital PACS/Voice recognition dictation.
Because the University of Michigan is a tertiary referral center with a Level 1 Trauma Center, a dedicated Burn Unit and a Survival Flight transportation crew, our rapidly growing Adult and Pediatric Emergency Department sees more than 70,000 patient visits a year. Emergency Radiology is at the ready with expert radiological support.
