Eve A. Kerr, M.D., M.P.H.
Associate professor of internal medicine at U-M and associate director of the HSR&D Center for Clinical Management Research, VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, received her medical degree from the University of California at San Francisco and her Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of California at Los Angeles. Kerr is also director of the Research Coordinating Center for the Diabetes Mellitus Quality Enhancement Research Initiative.
Her research focuses on developing innovative ways to evaluate the quality of care in ambulatory settings, assessing the influence of organization of care on quality, and understanding the challenges of providing care to patients with multiple chronic conditions
Kerr has numerous publications on quality assessment and improvement, and improving the organization of care to maximize patient outcomes. She has served on the Medical Care Research and Review editorial board and currently serves as a consultant to the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
