Marketing Communications
The role of Marketing Communications is to advance the goals, strategies and metrics of the University of Michigan Health System through the disciplined application of marketing principles and methods. We achieve this by working with Health System clinics, programs and departments to deliver the right message to the right audience using the most efficient and cost-effective method possible. We collaborate with the other Public Relations and Marketing Communications units – Public Relations, Web Services and Physician and Consumer Communications – ensuring you receive a comprehensive plan that leverages all the strengths our institution has to offer.
Marketing Communications services include: auditing existing marketing materials and plans; recommendations on improving existing plans or creating new ones; aligning marketing goals with business objectives; identifying and prioritizing your target audience(s); message definition or refinement; properly leveraging the U-M Health System brand identity; graphic design; production and print management; and advertising planning and execution.
