Physician Referral
The Physician Referral Service is staffed by specially trained referral coordinators who provide U-M Health System information to consumers who are new to the area, changed health coverage, would like to change primary care physician, want a second opinion, or need information on choosing the right physician to accommodate their needs.
At the coordinators' fingertips is a continually updated primary care provider database containing information on all of the University of Michigan primary care providers and health centers. Written information on U-M Health System primary care physicians and health centers that include appointment confirmation is promptly mailed to each caller.
Coordinators are available to answer calls Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
