Research Mission
Research is essential to physical medicine and rehabilitation. It is through the tireless investigative work of our doctors, fellows and researchers that we make important medical, biomedical and psychosocial discoveries. The knowledge we generate results in new therapies and new devices that improve the mobility, functionality and independence of persons with disabilities. Thus, our mission and primary purpose is to advance scientific knowledge in our field.
To achieve our mission, we foster a supportive environment for innovative research that provides evidence-based solutions. We encourage collaborative and interdisciplinary research within the university and in laboratories throughout the world. And we promote scientific integrity and social responsibility in the conduct of our research.
