Physical Therapy: Careers
The Physical Therapy Division of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department provides professional quality services and comprehensive rehabilitation to hundreds of inpatients and outpatients at six convenient locations.
We utilize evidence-based therapy techniques and the latest research and treatment tools to help optimize the patient's ability to participate in daily activities, and return to work and leisure pursuits, there by enhancing their quality of life. There are many professional development opportunities available to you, as well as continuing education opportunities at this leading academic institution.
Therapists work in specialized areas such as Adult and Pediatric Neurological Rehabilitation, Hand Therapy, Pediatrics, Spinal Cord Injury, Sports Medicine, Trauma Burn, Women's Health and Wound Management.

Weekend and holiday contingent and temporary positions are available for Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants at University of Michigan Health System inpatient and outpatient areas.
