Occupational Therapy

The Occupational Therapy Division of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS) provides high quality services and comprehensive rehabilitation to hundreds of inpatients and outpatients at five convenient locations. Adult and pediatric inpatient and outpatients services are provided at University Hospital and C.S Mott Children's Hospital. Outpatient services are also provided at our four satellite sites MedRehab-Briarwood, MedRehab-Canton, and The Spine Program.

Our hand therapy staff includes Nationally Certified Hand Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists who have exceptional training in shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand treatment. The therapists work with patients to provide exceptional care during rehabilitation immediately following injury or surgery through the patient’s return to work and/or productive lifestyle. Hand therapy is offered at University Hospital, MedRehab - Briarwood, MedRehab - Canton, Domino Farms, and South Main Orthopedics.
