Detroit Tigers - Comerica Park

The city of Detroit has a long history in professional sports going all the way back to 1901. The city boasts several professional sports teams including the Detroit Pistons, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Redwings, and the Detroit Shock.

Intramural Sports

The Intramural Sports Program offers a broad spectrum of activities for those individuals and teams interested in structured competition at varied skill levels; in personal challenges; and, in fitness as well as enjoyment and satisfaction. Intramural sports cover the full range of Team sports, Meets, and Dual, and Individual activities offering over 41 different sport opportunities.

Central Campus Recreation Building

Located on the Athletic Campus, the Intramural Sports Building pictured above was built in 1928 and is the first collegiate intramural sport building in America. Two other recreational facilities adorn the UM campus the Central Campus Recreation Building and the North Campus Recreation Building. Both houses everything you need in a fitness facility from free weights to indoor tracks.

Students at the University of Michigan work hard and play hard.  No matter if you're looking for a solitary stroll in the park or a competitive game of sports, Ann Arbor offers a large variety of opportunities for this and more.  If its sports you're looking the Ann Arbor area has it all from top ranked Big-10 teams to professionals teams in Detroit.The Rec Sports program with the University also provides opportunities for students to participate in a wide variety of activities with programs in Intramural Sports, Club Sports, and Outdoor Adventures. For individual athletics there are several state of the art facilities on campus: North Campus Recreation Building, Central Campus Recreation Building, Intramural Sports Building, and more.
