Nestled in downtown Ann Arbor are many unique entertainment establishments.
The Ark is home to a wide variety of roots,
folk, bluegrass, women's music, jazz, blues, zydeco, African gospel,
and acoustic music performed by local, national, and international

Club is ranked one of the best jazz clubs in the area and offers
live music nightly by national and local acts. The Kerrytown
Concert House always has a full schedule; with over 70 performances
a year the concert house presents a diverse series to local community
audiences. A yearly occurrence since 1969, the Ann
Arbor Blues and Jazz Festival takes place in beautiful Gallup
Park. The festival has seen renowned jazz and blues artists
such as BB King, Count Basie, Bonnie Rait, and Ray Charles. The Blind
Pig has been considered one of the best hangouts in town with live
music playing almost every day of the week and it has been host to
such notables as Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon. |
