Student Organizations
The Association of Multicultural Scientists (AMS) is a graduate student
organization for underrepresented racial and ethnic groups. The primary
function of AMS is to assist the membership in the successful completion
of their Ph.D. by offering support which will meet the academic, social,
and professional needs of their members and colleagues. |
Rackham Student Government (RSG) is the student governing body representing
the interests of students enrolled in the Rackham Graduate School. The main
goal of RSG is to help students communicate their needs, wants, and concerns
to the administration and to their fellow students. |
The Graduate Student Council promotes and represents the interests of graduate
students in the biomedical sciences and is active in the university and
surrounding community. The annual fall awards social, pictured here, is
one of the many events the Graduate Student Council helps to coordinate
each year. |
Students of Color of Rackham
is a network for Rackham graduate and professional students at the University
of Michigan. SCOR strives to enhance the campus and community environment for
graduate students and create an environment in which all persons can network
and acquire opportunities for professional development. |
Student organizations provide ample opportunities to get involved
and interact with other graduate students as well as the University
and community. The Association
of Multi-cultural Scientists (AMS) functions to assist their membership
in the successful completion of their Ph.D. by offering programs and
support which meet academic, social, and professional needs in an atmosphere
of cultural context and comfort. The Graduate
Student Council (GSC) serves as a liaison between the graduate
student body in the biomedical sciences and the administration, and
coordinates activities that allow graduate students to interact and
that encourage community service. Rackham
Student Government (RSG) is the representative of the entire student
body for the University and their main goal is to help students communicate
their needs, wants, and concerns to the administration and to their
fellow students. Students
of Color of Rackham (SCOR) is a network for Rackham graduate and
professional students at the University of Michigan, and is dedicated
to the social, cultural, and academic well being of students of color. |
