Inpatient meal service is a room service style meal delivery program. Patients may select from menus that offer a variety of healthy, made-to-order food selections that are compliant with the patient’s diet prescription.
Hours
The Room Service Call Center hours of operation are from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily. To place the meal order, call 2-FOOD (2-3663) from a hospital phone, or (734) 232-3663 from an outside line. Family members can place an order in advance for a pre-set delivery time on behalf of the patient. Meal trays are delivered within 45 minutes of your call.
Breakfast items are available all day, and lunch/dinner selections begin at 10:30 a.m.
Guest Trays
Guests of patients in C&W may also request Room Service Guest Trays for a fee. These meals are billed directly to the patient’s hospital account. Please note that most insurance companies do not cover the cost of this meal.
Boxed Meals Available After Hours
Special boxed meal service is available to inpatients between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. and are available by contacting the Security Guest Services Specialist on the 11th floor (begining July 2013). Boxed meals are also avialble to guests for a fee.
