Thank you for taking the time to explore pediatrics training at Mott Children’s Hospital at the University of Michigan.  Advancing the state of the art in caring for children is the most important mission of our Department of Pediatrics.  To that end, we strive to offer superb and balanced training that prepares residents to pursue diverse career paths, confident that they are capable of evaluating and applying cutting edge medical knowledge and technology to their practice.  All members of our department share a commitment to build on our 150-year reputation of developing individuals to be excellent clinicians, leaders, and advocates for children.

As you review our website, we will describe some of the opportunities that you will have in our program.  We’d like to highlight some of our strengths:

Without a doubt, our major strength lies in the contributions made to our program by our residents and faculty. The program values diversity and strives to recruit residents with unique backgrounds and a variety of career interests.  Both clinical and basic science research are supported by our rich environment.  We are excited about our program and its future and we invite you to explore these pages and find out more about our program.  The University of Michigan is about being a leader and the best!  We hope you will consider joining us.
