Training Summary by Year
Year 1
In the first year of training, fellows experience a combination of clinical activity, both inpatient and outpatient, and research activity. The fellow will maintain Pediatric Rheumatology outpatient clinics on a weekly basis, and begin grant-writing activities for his or her research project.
Year 2 and Year 3
The second and third years of training are dedicated primarily to developing and completing a basic science research project. During these years, outpatient clinics are maintained, while inpatient clinical rotation experiences are also mixed in.
