Clinical Care

Physicians in the Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ID) Clinic at C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital provide comprehensive care for children and adolescents with a variety of infections or immuno-deficiency states.  The Derrick Clinic cares for young people infected with the HIV-AIDS virus and in the Monday Morning Clinic patients new to the PID clinic are assessed for recurrent fever, for frequent infections, and for complicated or unusual infections.  Returning patients are seen in the Wednesday Morning Clinic for management of immunologic disorders, infections in immunosuppressed patients, and chronic or recurrent infections; for follow-up of patients with acute infections; and for the chronic use of antibiotics. In the Pediatric Infusion Room, we offer replacement intravenous gamma globulin to patients with defined immunoglobulin deficiencies.
