Hospitalists provide a wide range of comprehensive clinical care functions, including:
- Managing general pediatric inpatients
- Providing consultations for surgical and psychiatric services
- Coordinating sedation
- Performing circumcisions
- Supervising the newborn service
- Working closely with the Palliative Care Consultation Service and Child Protection Teams
