Hematology/Oncology: Training Summary

Training Summary by Year

Year 1
Typically, the first year of training is clinically based, with both inpatient and outpatient experiences. Rotations include Hematology/Oncology experiences, and Bone Marrow Transplant experiences.

Year 2
During the second year of training, the fellow's research project is the focus of his or her work. The fellow also maintains outpatient clinic responsibilities in Hematology/Oncology.

Year 3
In the third year of training, the fellow is responsible for completing his or her research project. Outpatient Hematology/Oncology Clinics are also part of the typical duties.
