In the 12 years since the beginning of the Midwest Pediatric Pacemaker Registry the information collected has continued to better characterize the nature of pediatric pacing. Generator and electrode usage and longevity, patient characteristics, indications for pacemaker implant , and implant thresholds have been better defined allowing better decision making based upon information from the pediatric population rather than inferred from the adult experience.
