Symptoms and tell-tale signs

Voice disorders cause many different symptoms, which may include:

  • recurrent or persistent hoarseness
  • loss of vocal range
  • voice fatigue
  • decreased volume or voice projection
  • neck or throat discomfort with voice use

Common Diagnoses treated at the Vocal Health Center

Voice problems have different causes, with poor voice care and production often contributing to the onset of vocal difficulties. Conditions frequently treated include:

  • vocal fold polyps or nodules
  • acid reflux laryngitis
  • vocal fold paralysis
  • voice fatigue syndrome
  • vocal fold scarring
  • spasmodic dysphonia
